About Restless Development: Restless Development is a global non-profit focused on empowering young leaders. With a presence in nine countries, the organization runs youth-led programs addressing key issues and runs the Youth Collective network.

Job Summary:
The Programme Coordinator will support the “Global Girls Creating Change (G2C2)” project in Uganda, focusing on empowering girls to lead and shape inclusive climate policies and actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the G2C2 project.
  • Coordinate girl-led needs assessments and evidence-building processes.
  • Facilitate training and skills development in green entrepreneurship and climate activism.
  • Conduct community dialogues on gender norms and climate activism.
  • Participate in developing girl-led climate advocacy action plans.
  • Establish mentoring and coaching models for girls and grassroots youth-led CSOs.
  • Ensure stakeholder understanding of G2C2 and other Restless Development programs.
  • Develop partnerships and report to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate-level degree in Environment, Climate, Advocacy, Social Work, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
  • Postgraduate in Project Planning is an advantage.
  • Experience in program management and budgeting.
  • Excellent budget management skills.
  • Experience in staff management, including performance management.
  • Ability to analyze problems and make sound operational decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a methodological approach to program management.
  • Communication skills, experience in M&E systems and research, and understanding of gender mainstreaming.
  • IT skills and risk management capabilities.
  • Motorcycle riding skills with a valid permit.
