Windle Trust Uganda is Non-profit organization whose primary mission is to equip refugees and others affected by conflict in Africa to meet the challenges of development through providing access to education, training, and employmentopportunities by advocacy and direct programme activity. Windle Trust Uganda has been a leading provider of access to university education, post-primary education, and vocational training for conflict-affected Africans since 1996. WTU works in partnership with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Project Accountant will receive and process payments in favour of suppliers, staff and any other providers of goods and services to the organization.
- Enter all financial data in QuickBooks Evolution
- Tasked with the timely preparation and submission of monthly financial reports
- Support the head office team in budget management and control to ensure that there are no budget overruns.
- Ensure project compliance
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Level II CPA professional qualification is required.
