Job Summary: The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall coordination, planning, management and completion of SCI’s projects. The PM will work closely with the project team and liaise with other functional managers to ensure day to day activities are implemented within the established framework for the project, timescales, budget and quality. S/he will continually monitor all aspects of project performance by instituting the use of necessary project management processes and tools. The PM will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and that every other person working for the project fulfils their responsibilities to make this a reality. By default, the PM will be the budget holder for the project and will be expected to provide strategic and operational leadership to develop and implement a successful program.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Save the Children Project Manager Dubai Cares job placement must hold a Bachelors’ degree in Early Childhood Development, Education, Disability, Nutrition, Public health, or Social Sciences, or a related field.
- At least five years of work experience with a minimum of 3 years in project management in an International NGO or similar organization.
- Strong understanding of holistic child development and the role played by responsive caregiving, health, nutrition, early learning, and protection/security in ensuring appropriate development.
- Demonstrable experience in all phases of project management.
- Demonstrable experience in monitoring budgets
- Proven team and personnel management experience
- Proven analytical and strategic planning skills
- Decision-making and leadership skills and excellent time management capacities
