The company was founded in 1997, by Simpson Birungi as a makeshift workshop in Namasuba, Wakiso District. In 1999 the first Movit product, Herbal Baby Jelly, was put on the market. Over the years, Movit, the company’s flagship name, has grown into one of Uganda’s top cosmetics brands with distribution links in both East Africa and the COMESA regions. Other known products from Movit include the Body Milk Lotion, Junior Petroleum Jelly, Movit No base Relaxer and many more.
Job Summary: The purpose of this job is to oversee operations during promotional events and supervise
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate roadshows by seeking approvals, arrangement of venue and branding to ensure successful execution;
- Tran the experiential team to equip them with necessary skills and ensure continuous improvement of delivery;
- Deploy the experiential team to maximise area coverage and thereby increase brand awareness;
- Carry out promotions during trade shows, sponsored events and market activations to generate leads, build brand loyalty and increase brand awareness;
- Generate sales revenues by securing orders and selling products to customers during promotional events;
- Market new products by giving out samples and selling during promotion;
- Manage and supervise the promotions team through leave management and motivation to ensure that they efficiently support promotional activities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Three (3) years’ experience in the previous grade
- Management and supervision of the promotions team
- Marketing new products
- Securing orders and selling during promotional activities
- Product promotions during tradeshows and market activations
- Deployment of the experiential team
- Training the experiential team
