Job Summary: The Receptionist / Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing services to incoming visitors, answer all calls and maintain a clear, safe and attractive reception environment at ARC Kampala Head Office in line with Operations guidelines. S/he will also act as a liaison between ARC staff and guests; carry out various administrative duties to ensure that the office is running in a smooth and efficient manner. S/he will also be responsible for Expatriate Visa processing, Work permits, NGO registration etc.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the American Refugee Committee (ARC) Receptionist / Administrative Assistant job must hold a Bachelor’s degree with relevant Certifications in Front Desk / Office Administration or Management.
- A minimum of three years of experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role, in a large and busy agency/office.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Professional attitude and appearance, and ability to multitask
- Ability to adapt and handle emergency situations in a timely, calm and effective manner
- A pleasant personality, with customer service orientation and attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
