About USAID RHVP Project:
Abt Associates is implementing the five year Uganda Voucher Plus Activity (in its second year) which is increasing access to safe motherhood services in private facilities in Northern and Eastern Uganda by engaging private providers in contracts to provide quality safe motherhood services to qualified impoverished women presenting a voucher purchased in communities..
Job Summary: The Regional Clinical Quality Assurance Supervisor will oversee all RMNCH clinical quality assurance activities, e.g. mentorship, technical support supervision, taking place in accredited Private Health Facilities in Northern and Eastern districts in line with MoH policy for CQI in MNCH. This person will supervise six field based staff who are working weekly with providers to improve their RMNCH clinical skills.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the USAID Regional Clinical Quality Assurance Supervisor job placement should hold a Medical degree (MBchB or its equivalent from a recognized University)
- Possession of a Master’s Degree in Public Health will be an added advantage.
- Specific training and or experience in RMCH technical areas is added advantage
- At least 6 years of experience in a service delivery setting in reputable NGOs at the regional and/or district level in Uganda, (desirable)
- Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based and promising models, and internationally-recognized best practices in safe motherhood
- Previous experience with private sector health service delivery, (desirable)
- Proven abilities to plan and implement capacity building activities and workshops.
- Previous experience in mentorship and coaching providers on clinical and medical issues Advanced written, presentation, and communication skills in English Ability and willingness to travel extensively in the Eastern and Northern regions Understanding of Eastern and Northern Ugandan dialects (desirable)
- Must be Ugandan national
