Job Summary: The Revenue Management Analyst will be responsible for the forecasting and management of a given set of routes/markets; utilizing revenue management and inventory control systems to analyze, plan and implement demand management strategies which are critical in maximizing passenger revenue.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze historical and future passenger demand trends to understand the socio-economic drivers behind demand changes in order to drive accurate demand inputs into the revenue management system.
- Closely monitor passenger booking trends and anticipate the effect of news, happenings, and events on demand.
- Work within a team of other Inventory and Pricing Analysts to plan and implement demand and inventory strategies for the network.
- Compile reports to facilitate performance tracking and monitoring, and to support pricing and sales planning decisions.
- Engage with overseas sales teams to identify and steer revenue opportunities.
- Effectively manage a team of flight analysts to oversee the day-to-day management of flights.
- Liaise with reservations and airport teams as necessary to manage operational requirements around passenger bookings and flight loads.
- Participate in cross-departmental and cross-divisional projects that impact revenue management.
- Work with the internal technology teams to design, test and implement system projects and enhancements.
- Construct data models and analytical tools to make optimal commercial decisions to maximize revenue
- Monitor the user actions (pricing decisions, forecast influences, optimization and fare strategies) in the systems and provide feedback to users on their impact.
- Manage and maintain calibration of pricing models, forecasting and optimization parameters in Revenue Management (RM) systems
- Manage user acceptance testing of Pricing and Revenue Management Systems and provide guidance on scope and test scenarios to various stakeholders involved in systems’ upgrades.
- Manage data quality assurance of inputs and outputs of Pricing & RM Systems interacting closely with Market Management, Group Analysts, Flight Analysts, and T&I.
- Devise and manage effective KPI metrics to monitor systems’ usage and take necessary steps to improve systems usability.
- Formulate processes and best practices based on industry research for pricing implementation and optimal usage of RM Systems
- Drive innovation in Pricing & RM solutions using design thinking and agile framework.
- Apply Operations Research in practice and work towards building proof of concepts of new ideas to generate incremental revenues.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Uganda Airlines Revenue Management Analyst job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related fields.
- Previous work experience in IT, Revenue Management or Analytics is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, and should enjoy working in a team whilst being able to work independently on assigned projects.
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
