The bank offers a variety of Products and services including; Savings, Current accounts, Loans, Money transfer services and Bills payments to its target market which comprises of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, salary earners and youth.
Job Summary: The Security Administrator will proactively plan for safety and adequacy of ICT business solutions in Finance Trust Bank. In particular the role includes the following functions:
- Ensure that best practice security controls are implemented to secure digital assets of the bank.
- Ensure IT Policies and Standards are implemented and adhered to within FTB business operations.
- Ensure appropriate security controls are built into both existing and new system applications.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create information protection audit standards and baselines for use in the entire organization and participate in all ICT audits and regulatory reviews for the business.
- Responsible for system security planning, developing, and implementing security policies across multiple platforms.
- Carry out risk assessments of all business applications, ICT installations and ensure that information systems are adequately protected.
- Ensure that the access control, disaster recovery, business continuity, incident response, and risk management needs of the organization are properly addressed.
- Provide information security expertise and support for electronic data interchange.
- Provide support in security management and security architect standards and documentations.
- To lead information security awareness and training initiatives to educate staff about information risks.
- Provide support in the evaluation, testing and implementation of system changes and enhancements.
- Develop cutting-edge, innovative solutions for IT networks security.
- To conduct security control reviews of all business applications including ICT installations and active penetration tests; discover vulnerabilities in information systems.
- Develop, interpret and apply information security policies and standards including review and update service level agreements (SLA’s).
- Build tools for automation of systems administration tasks that include building servers, storage devices, security and monitoring infrastructure, and other components of infrastructure.
- Assist application developers and infrastructure teams to determine the security posture and readiness of new systems and architectures being deployed.
- Updates the SSP (System Security Plans), implement patching updates, and other system administration related tasks.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Finance Trust Bank (FTB) Security Administrator job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, software engineering, Information systems or a related numericals field of study.
- CISSP training or certification
- At least three years’ experience as a system and or network administrator.
- Possession of a CCNA certification or training.
- Programming and scripting knowledge is an added advantage.
- Three to six years’ experience as a UNIX and Windows system administrator.
- Three years of experience as a system security administrator in a heterogeneous system/network environment shall be an added advantage.
- Bash scripting knowledge is a must have.
- Ethical Hacker training is a must have.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across complex, multi-network architectures.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to assess and leverage new technologies to deliver solutions.
- Ability to conduct research into newly identified digital security threats and to implement mitigants.
- Ability to develop plans and projects for information security systems that anticipate, identify, eliminate, and prevent information system vulnerabilities.
- Hands on experience with configuring, securing, monitoring and troubleshooting client and server class OS. Practical knowledge of computer forensics methods and procedures.
- Knowledge of IT Systems Analysis, IT policy and planning, and IT project management
