About US:
The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), established by the Equal Opportunities Act of 2007 is mandated to provide a framework for redressing imbalances, which exist against the marginalized groups while promoting equal opportunities for all.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tasked with collating budget estimates
- Verifying and preparing payments including salaries
- Controlling vote record, expenditures, deposits and imprest
- Reconciling and maintaining Books of Accounts
- Supervising revenue collections
- Compiling and submitting periodic reports
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in either Finance and Accounting or Commerce (Accounting option), Business Administration (Accounting option) or Business studies (Accounting option)
- Full professional accounting qualifications like ACCA, CPA or CIMA plus a minimum of postgraduate qualification in Accounting or Financial Management from a recognized University of Institution.
- A minimum of a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting or Financial Management and knowledge of computerized accounting will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience at the level of an Accountant in Government or equivalent experience from a reputable organization,
