Job Summary: The Senior Manager Project Support Office will mainly develop, implement and manage capital projects governance processes and procedures, implement special project initiatives, and consolidate capital project budgeting requirements that support the company’s mission in an integrated and consistent manner that enables the company to choose, prioritize and execute investments that return optimum value and achieve its strategic and operational goals. In addition, provide a project support function to project managers and the business in project implementation initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of MTNU Annual CAPEX budget for the business (Budget amount ranges from USD 60M – USD 100M)
- Develop, implement and manage the CAPEX Steercom process and Capex governance processes for project and program portfolio management
- Ensure benefit realization processes are adhered to as well as compliance to the CPM toolkit 90% and above.
- Link between finance , Business and CPM office on project approvals, registration and alignment with the MTNU DoA
- Ensure completed projects are communicated to Finance for timely capitalization
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the MTN Uganda Senior Manager Project Support Office job placement should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or engineering
- Professional Qualification in Accounting or Master’s Degree in related field will be an added advantage.
- Qualification in Project management
- Three to five years’ experience in Telecommunications environment
- Two years practical application of Financial knowledge
- Two years of practical application of Project Management principles
- Able to travel extensively within Uganda
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Negotiation and communication skills
- Report writing Skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Team player
- Project management (Planning, scheduling, report writing, Vendor and contract management skills.)
- Financial awareness (cost Control, budgeting)
- Record management skills
