The sweet, sparkling crystals with their distinctive taste and flavour, and rich golden colour, have sweetened dishes all over Uganda since the 1930s.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervising and monitoring the mechanical shift technicians in order to achieve the production targets.
- Planning and carrying out planned preventive maintenance in the Sweets factory.
- Maintaining and upgrading records of machine breakdown as per ISO 9001-2015.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Applicants should be holders of Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering obtained from a reputable University. However, applicants with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with practical relevant experience in confectionary industry may also apply.
- At least ten to fifteen years’ experience in confectionery industry.
- Computer knowledge is essential
- Knowledge of confectionery machines e.g. Flat Lollipop, Ball Lollipop, Ball Wrapping Machine etc. is added advantage.
