Job Summary:
Palladium is seeking a Team Leader for the anticipated FCDO-funded Tackling Deadly Diseases in Africa Programme 2 (TDDAP 2). This role will provide technical leadership for the entire team across the program, oversee program progress, and ensure high-quality deliverables. The Team Leader will act as the lead point of contact on all technical program delivery aspects and represent TDDAP2 and Palladium both internally and externally.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Management:
- Provide technical leadership for the entire team.
- Oversee program progress and ensure targets are met.
- Manage technical staff and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Foster collaboration across the consortium.
Programme Delivery and Technical Leadership:
- Act as the lead point of contact on all technical aspects.
- Represent TDDAP2 and Palladium internally and externally.
- Strengthen International Health Regulations (IHR) capacity in Africa.
- Drive a One Health approach across technical interventions.
- Incorporate a focus on gender, equity, disability, and social inclusion.
- Lead the development of program workplans, reports, and reviews.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong relationships with FCDO and other relevant stakeholders.
- Foster partnerships with WHO AFRO, WAHO, and Africa CDC.
- Engage with stakeholders at regional, national, and community levels.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Relevant qualifications in public health or related field.
- Previous experience in epidemic response and preparedness.
- Proficiency in French or experience in francophone Africa.
- Experience working with multilateral organizations (WHO, World Bank, AfCDC).
- Demonstrated technical expertise in health systems strengthening, health security, One Health, infectious disease, among others.
- In-depth knowledge of the African health security architecture.
- Experience working in health environments in Africa, particularly across Malawi, Uganda, DRC, Ghana, and/or Kenya.
- Strong financial, operational, problem-solving, and donor management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership of large teams remotely.
- Experience coordinating and collaborating with diverse stakeholders across Africa and the UK.
- Deep knowledge of health systems at regional, national, and community levels.
- Experience working on other donor-funded programs, preferably with FCDO.
