Andre Foods International (AFI) is a Non-Profit Organization fully registered with the Government of Uganda. AFI is devoted to use community based sustainable models to promote food literacy, best WASH practices and elevated income that translates into development and reduction of malnutrition. AFI works with both local and international development partners by providing a comprehensive approach to solving public nutrition problems through; Food security, nutrition and health assessments/surveys for immediate community interventions, developing and implementing projects with regard to prevailing food insecurity, health and nutrition problems such as Supplementary Feeding Programme (SFP), Therapeutic Feeding Programme (TFP), Infant and Young Child Feeding practices, good nutrition for adolescents, elderly, pregnant and lactating women, sustainable Food and Agriculture Production and capacity building for district level health/nutrition leaders.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess and organize logistics for AFI assets and General Food Assistance (GFA) items in terms of dispatch, handling, storage and distribution to their respective destination and ensure recording systems are in place.
- Manage fleet management of AFI field office to effectively support operations and field activities while applying standard operating procedures in facilitating field logistic support, directly or indirectly delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries.
- Regularly monitor and supervise the activities of food handling at Food Distribution Points (FDP).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a University degree in Procurement and logistics, Finance and Accounts
- A minimum of four years of humanitarian work and logistics experience.
- Experience in tracking commodities with in the ware house and field under a World Food Programme (WFP) project is an added advantage.
- Good report writing skills
- Computer literacy skills
