UNEB PLE Results 2013 – 2014 | Uganda National Examinations Board

Uganda National Examinations Board has released last year’s Primary Leaving Examination results.

Uneb executive director Mathew Bukenya read out the fate of 582,085 pupils who sat for the exams at 11,506 centres in the Uganda.

Social Studies and Religious education were the best done subjects followed by Mathematic and English. Quality of work of candidates improved.

Districts with lowest failure rates are Fort Portal Municipal Council, Ntungamo, Mbarara, Kabarole, Entebbe, Masaka, Jinja, Rukungiri and Gulu.

Results of 1,424 candidates were withheld on suspected involvement in various malpractices. These will be accorded a hearing as required by the law, according to Mr Bukenya.

He said the Ministry of Education will consider their placement after they have been cleared. He said 582,085 candidates sat 2013 PLE compared to 543,122 in 2012

The worst performing districts, according to Mr Bukenya are Keen, Bulambuli, Bukwo,Kaliro,Luuka, Iganga, Buyende, Bugiri, Bududa and Namutamba.

Overall performance in 2013 was 88.1% compared to 88.4% in 2012.
