Job Summary: The Visa Officer will be responsible for managing the visa application process at the embassy. This includes welcoming the public, receiving and checking visa applications, evaluating files, printing visa stickers or refusal decisions, and managing the classification and archiving of documents.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome the public and receive visa applications.
- Check the contents of visa files and enter opinions on the files.
- Print visa stickers or refusal decisions.
- Classify and archive documentation related to visa processing.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Fluency in the English language (spoken and written).
- Good knowledge of the French language (spoken and written).
- Excellent discernment skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with a liking for public contact.
- Strong organizational skills.
- High levels of confidentiality, discretion, and availability.
