About the Role: GOAL Uganda is seeking a WASH Coordinator to oversee the implementation of their WASH project portfolio. This role is key in developing approaches, partnerships, and technical thinking in WASH areas.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Essential:
- Masters in Public Health, Environmental Health, Social Sciences, Business, Economics, Civil Engineering, Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years at a coordinator level, managing multiple projects and teams.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in complex WASH programming.
- Experience in WASH strategy development and implementation.
- Knowledge of key donor policies, guidelines, and strategies.
- Strong financial literacy and management skills.
- Strong computer literacy with MS Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desirable:
- Experience in market systems development and business models for sustainable WASH systems.
- Understanding of gender and inclusion challenges in beneficiary groups.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement GOAL Uganda’s WASH Strategy.
- Coordinate the implementation of WASH portfolio projects.
- Manage project budgets and financial transactions.
- Lead pilots and scale successful WASH initiatives.
- Monitor, evaluate, and adapt WASH programs based on data and learning.
- Represent GOAL Uganda in WASH forums and platforms.
- Identify and respond to funding opportunities.
- Line management of WASH team members.
