African Initiatives for Relief and Development (AIRD) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-profit making organization with the main aim of protecting and seeking durable solutions for Refugees and IDPs in Africa in partnership with UNHCR the UN refugee agency.
Job Summary: The Resettlement Officer will primarily arrange and coordinate the transportation of refugees and asylum seekers, accommodation and meals for all referrals.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the AIRD Resettlement Officer job opportunity must hold a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or any other related Studies.
- Four years of related working experience in related operations
- Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and database packages
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of honesty and Integrity
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Willingness to work in any part of the country
- Multi-linguistic ability is an added advantage.
