Job Summary: The Graphics Designer works on a variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, posters, product packaging, corporate communications and corporate identity. He gives the organization a visual ‘brand’.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Discuss and understand the business objectives
- Estimate the time required to complete the work
- Develop design briefs that suit the purpose;
- Develop creative ideas and concepts
- Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design;
- Use innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time;
- Present finalised ideas and concepts to clients or account managers;
- Work with a range of media, including computer-aided design (CAD) and keep up to date with emerging technologies;
- Proof reading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
- Demonstrate illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print;
- Commissioning illustrators and photographers;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Creative flair
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry software
- Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
