Uganda Petroleum Institute Kigumba (UPIK) was established by the Statutory instrument No. 31 of 2011: The Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Acts, 2006 (Establishment of Uganda Petroleum Institute, Kigumba) in July, 2011. The mandate of UPIK is to provide a world-class education in geosciences and petroleum engineering in order to support and advance the petroleum and energy sectors in Uganda, East Africa and beyond.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspecting the properties to determine their repair. and maintenance requirements;
- Ensuring that all equipment and installations are maintained in good working condition;
- Ensuring that all solid waste generated is timely, safety and appropriately collected; temporally stored and promptly disposed of;
- Ensuring that there is safe and effective disposal of waste water as well as storm water;
- Ensuring prompt settlement of bins for utilities;
- Identifying assets that are due for disposal and ensuring that they are safely stored until authority to dispose them is secured;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Applicants must be holders of a higher Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
- A minimum of two years of relevant working experience in a reputable organization
- Registration with the relevant professional body is of added advantage‘
- Age: Below 40 years
