The Bank offers a variety of Products and services including; Savings, Current accounts, Loans, Money transfer services and Bills payments to its target market which comprises of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, salary earners and youth.
Job Summary: The Accountant will be responsible for preparing reconciliations and ensuring proper management of the bank wide general ledger in line with the Bank’s guidelines and best accounting practices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare reconciliations of all bank accounts & timely follow up of un-reconciling items.
- Preparation of monthly amortizations and accruals
- Management of GPA – Credit Life Insurance
- Stock Management
- Reconciliation of prepayments, Staff advances & Other Assets
- Daily monitoring and review of Cash GLS
- Monitor & Review Transit & Suspense Accounts
- Revenue Assurance for other incomes
- Train Branch Accountants on reconciliation procedures
- Provide support to the internal and external audit team concerning your area of responsibility.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Finance Trust Bank Accountant job opportunity must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration with major in Accounting
- Part professional qualifications like ACCA, CPA will be an added advantage
- At least three years of experience in a similar position in a busy profit oriented Organisation.
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
