Job Summary:
Norvik Enterprises Limited is seeking a proficient Accountant to oversee and manage accounting functions within the organization. The role involves preparing financial reports, conducting account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate accounting functions and programs, ensuring efficient operation.
- Prepare financial analyses and reports, including revenue projections and expenditure forecasting.
- Assist with annual audits, tax audits, tax returns, and ensure compliance with accounting principles.
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure adherence to legal and organizational standards.
- Prepare tax returns and participate in financial standard setting and forecasting processes.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, aiming for efficiency and budget optimization.
- Review and recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
- Prepare financial statements, participate in month-end and year-end close processes, and ensure GAAP compliance.
- Support collections efforts and manage delinquent accounts as necessary.
- Train, manage, and provide technical support to junior staff as required.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- BSc degree in Finance, Audit, Accounting, or a relevant discipline.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ACCA, CMA, CPA) are preferred.
- A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in accounting.
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software packages, such as Tally, and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a high degree of accuracy.
