Job Summary: The M&E Officer will assist the M&E Manager in the execution of the project M&E function
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and review of project M&E frameworks, plans and projects to ensure their coordination
- Participate in the design of appropriate project M&E tools and periodic monitoring of project indicators.
- Regular data collection and Perform regular quality assurance checks on project activities in line with project objectives, standards and M&E frameworks
- Work with other team members to maintain the project data base in order to provide up to date information about the project.
- Analyze the data generated through the M&E processes, and then produce and present performance results against agreed targets and milestones.
- Build capacity of project staff in monitoring, evaluation, report writing, and documenting lessons learnt and best practices.
- Document and verify all data on projects
- Generate data in agreed reporting format to donors and other key stakeholders
- Prepare and submit Quality and timely reports for review.
- Develop success stories/case studies to track progress of the project.
- Adhere to Safeguarding policies and related policies and standards
- Identify, report and document cases of safeguarding
- Creating awareness on Safeguarding and child protection for all beneficiaries and in the community.
- Liaise with the safeguarding designate focal person on any emerging safeguarding issues.
- Plan, integrate and implement safeguarding activities.
- Follow up all cases of abuse as well as timely response and resolution of the cases of abuse.
- And any other duties that may be assigned from time to time in the interest of the organization.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a Degree (Honors) from a recognized university in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Worker & Social Administration, Project planning and management, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences and any other related qualification.
- Experience in the field of statistics
- Experience of at least 2 years in the field of development and use of M&E approaches and logical framework.
- Exposure to donor reporting requirements is desirable.
- Knowledge in analytical software packages.
- Knowledge of the local language is an advantage
