Google Europe Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship
Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship: Europe, the Middle East and Africa; Through the Google Europe Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship, Google aims to encourage women to excel in computing and technology, and become active role models and leaders.
Scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of candidates’ academic background and engagement within the technology community.
A group of female BSc, MSc, and PhD student finalists will be chosen from the applicant pool.
The scholarship recipients, selected from the finalists, will each receive a $10,000 (or equivalent) scholarship for each current academic year.
Remaining finalists will receive $5,000 each.
Google Scholarship Eligibility
Candidates must:
- be a female student entering her final year of a BSc, or enrolled in an MSc or PhD programme (or equivalent) for the previous year.
- be enrolled in full-time study at a University in Europe. Citizens, permanent residents, and international students are eligible to apply.
- be studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, or a related technical field.
- maintain an excellent academic record (e.g. a First Class Honours degree).Google Scholarship – How to Apply
Complete the online application form and submit the requested documentation by January each year.
All applications will be acknowledged by email. Finalists will be notified in April.
The final step in the scholarship selection process will be phone interviews with representatives of the Google Anita Borg Selection Committee.
Scholarship recipients will be selected from the finalists.
Should you indicate your interest in an internship or full-time job with Google Europe Anita Borg, please note that these interviews are separate from scholarship phone interviews.
