Bachelor of Law (LLB) Examinations
As the rest of the University Examinations are conducted under very strict conditions, so also the Law Examinations are done under strictly enforced Examination discipline. The examination standards are sought to be ensured, first, through internal reviews of the examination drafts by the Dean and the two Associate Deans of Law, who moderate the drafts, and invites the respective Internal Examiners to discuss the same and make adjustments in the drafts, where necessary.
Secondly, a policy of External Examiners is in place at KIU, which involves the forwarding of marked examinations to External Examiners. The same External Examiners are also asked to moderate the examination drafts prior to their final reproduction and sitting.
The course content for the Bachelor of Law (LL.B) Degree is indeed of a high and required standard. The subject matter of the Law unit-courses taught at KIU is comparable to that given at the pioneer Law teaching Public University in Uganda.
