Job Summary:
The Relationship Manager – Infrastructure & Energy, reporting to the Sector Head- Infrastructure & Energy, will be responsible for managing corporate relationships within the infrastructure and energy sectors. The role involves originating business in line with targets and expectations, ensuring exceptional customer experience, and driving business growth through a deep understanding of clients’ needs. The Relationship Manager will collaborate closely with product houses, Corporate and Institutional Banking, and Retail to maximize value from client relationships.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage key client relationships within the sector to meet demands and sector growth targets.
- Develop a sector-wide product paper and ensure bank compliance.
- Create and monitor key work plans for the sector.
- Implement a monitoring and evaluation schedule for clients in the portfolio.
- Conduct regular on-site inspections, review contracts, budgets, and operational health and safety requirements.
- Develop and enforce monitoring/control procedures to manage the asset portfolio effectively.
- Provide training and development opportunities for teams to enhance sector understanding.
- Manage credit risk within the portfolio to ensure sector performance remains within agreed parameters.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- University Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Advanced Leadership training and/or an MBA preferred.
- Training in Project Management and Evaluation.
- Three (3) years’ experience in contract negotiation, bidding, and awarding process or similar role in Infrastructure and Energy sector.
- Three (3) years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation in Infrastructure and Energy.
- Demonstrated Leadership and People management skills.
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of the role’s contribution to business success.
- Knowledge of bank products and services.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and negotiating skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Understanding of risk management and mitigation techniques.
