Job Title:             Procurement Assistants (2  Fresher Jobs)

Job Summary:   The Procurement Assistants will mainly develop, Lead and execute procurement strategies as well as track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Craft negotiations strategies and close deals with optimal terms
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
  • Assess, manage and mitigate risks
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
  • Vendor management
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
  • Ensure procurement data management

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain Management, Logistics or in Business Administration (Majoring in procurement).
  • Knowledge of key purchasing processes and purchasing domain.
  • CIPS is an added advantage
  • At least two year of working experience in a similar position.(NGO work experience will be an added advantage)
  • Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spread sheet and database packages
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of honesty and Integrity
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced computer skills in Ms Word, Excel,  PowerPoint presentation, Creating forms, org charts, mail merges, labels, name tags, charts and graphs, pivot tables, presentations with animation and sound  .
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
  • Willingness to work in any part of the country
