The National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) is an umbrella organization promoting the rights of Persons with disabilities in Uganda with the vision of having “A Just and Fair Society where Persons with Disabilities live a Prosperous and Dignified Life”. We exist to advocate for the rights of Persons with Disabilities in a unified voice for improved livelihoods. NUDIPU is hereby seeking to recruit a competent and energetic Ugandans
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in defining programme and financial objectives, targets and monitoring processes in line with the programme and organizational M&E framework.
- Mobilise women and girls to form saving groups to expand their economic opportunities.
- Link women with disabilities to financial services.
- Build the capacity of stakeholders (Disabled Peoples Organisations and duty bearers) on gender based violence against persons with disabilities.
- Facilitate disability and gender sensitive planning and budgeting at National and District levels.
- Contribute to the analysis and preparation of gender and disability information sheets.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor degree in Gender Studies, Development studies, Social Science and/ or other related humanities.
- Training in project planning and management or policy (a must)
- At least four years of professional experience in implementing gender, policy and disability programmes.
- Master degree in Gender studies is desirable.
- Solid understanding of gender and disability related issues.
