The National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) is an umbrella organization promoting the rights of Persons with disabilities in Uganda with the vision of having “A Just and Fair Society where Persons with Disabilities live a Prosperous and Dignified Life”. We exist to advocate for the rights of Persons with Disabilities in a unified voice for improved livelihoods. NUDIPU is hereby seeking to recruit a competent and energetic Ugandans.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Participate in defining programme and financial objectives, targets and monitoring processes in line with the programme and organizational M&E framework.
  • Identify thematic inclusive education advocacy issues through programme
  • implementation.
  • Identify and partner with disability organizations and other actors in the education sectors to influence changes in policies, legislation, plans and service delivery for Persons with Disabilities.
  • Support inclusive education collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
  • Execute capacity building activities for member organization and other partners in the areas of Inclusive Education.
  • Liaise with District union Executive Committees for Persons with Disabilities in the respective districts on any matters relating to advocacy on inclusive education of persons with disabilities

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor Degree in Education or Social Sciences OR Any Relevant Humanities.
  • At least four years training in Project Planning and management is a Must.
  • A Master degree in Education Management is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the national education system and current national and international affairs/debates on disability rights.
