Job Summary: FCA Investments looking for an Investment Analyst with strong finance, analytical and communication skills. We are an impact investor specialising in developing countries and fragile states. We are huge on impact, passionate about innovation and believe properly structured Investments in SME’s are key to unleashing the potential Uganda’s economy. The position may be lonely, the hours are irregular and the demands are extreme; it is also rewarding and you join a select team of individuals who are passionate and dedicated to making a difference.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identifying suitable investment candidates and building a viable pipeline.
- Carrying out due diligence for the investments under consideration.
- Identify & provide solutions to technical challenges faced by SME’s as part of the investment package.
- Participate in post-investment portfolio monitoring and reporting, using both financial and social impact metrics.
- Coordinate ESG impact studies, analysis, implementation and reporting across the portfolio
- Any other related responsibilities as may be required / assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Either
- At least three years as an Investment Analyst in Corporate Finance, Banking, Consulting, Private Equity, Venture Capital or Impact Investment; or
- A basic degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, actuarial sciences, statistics or business admin.
- A CFA qualification or a master’s degree in Finance or business administration.
- Proficiency in Excel, Financial modelling and excellent reporting and communication skills.
- Ability to work irregular hours and travel on short notice.
OR
- A proven entrepreneur record with real world experience in starting and successfully running a business
- Ability to design unconventional solutions to problems on the fly.
- A basic degree in either Sciences, Accounting, Finance, Economics, statistics or business admin.
- Proficiency in Excel, Game theory and financial modelling.
- Ability to work irregular hours and travel on short notice.
