Job Summary:
Sightsavers is looking for a Data Quality and Capture Officer to support the implementation of strategic monitoring systems and processes. This role focuses on maintaining data collection tools, ensuring high-quality data, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update Learning, Accountability, Monitoring, Performance (LAMP) data collection tools.
  • Build and integrate data capture tools into DHIS2.
  • Create training materials and provide training on LAMP data capture tools, systems, and processes.
  • Collaborate on data cleaning and dataflow creation to ensure coherence in data representation.
  • Review data quality across LAMP data sets and strengthen data validation processes.
  • Support the integration of LAMP into organizational systems and processes.
  • Align databases with Sightsavers’ outputs database and integrate data capture into DHIS2.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in statistics, International Development, ICT, data analytics, geography, or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience in data capture within Excel and data management.
  • Extensive experience in data cleaning and manipulation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively with non-technical audiences.
  • Desirable: Master’s degree in a relevant field, experience in DHIS2, visual analytics software, and proficiency in French.
