Job Summary:
Malteser International is looking for a dynamic Project Manager for their Emergency Medical Service (EMS) project in Kampala, Uganda. This role involves overseeing the project, coordinating and managing partnerships, and building strategic relationships to advance the organization’s objectives in Uganda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and managing relationships with partners.
  • Building strategic partnerships for Malteser International in Uganda, including strategic planning and monitoring of EMS project objectives.
  • Coordinating project activities and work plans within the country.
  • Acting as the primary focal point for all relevant partners and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring maintenance of internal and external communication lines.
  • Coordination with support personnel and supervision of project personnel.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Degree in Medicine or Public Health (Master’s preferred).
  • Postgraduate qualification in Project Planning and Management is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in Emergency Medical Training, Emergency Medical Services, or Emergency Medical Care is beneficial.
  • Minimum of five years of hands-on project experience in a similar position.
  • Experience or exposure to Health Guidelines/Policy Development.
  • Proven track record of managing grants, projects, and programmatic activities.
  • Demonstrated cooperative approach, including experience working with Government officials, Ministries, private sector, and academia.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet, etc.
