About US Embassy:
The United States Embassy in Kampala, Uganda has enjoyed diplomatic relations with Uganda for over 30 years. Ambassador Deborah R. Malac currently heads the U.S Mission to Uganda. The Mission is composed of several offices and organizations all working under the auspices of the Embassy and at the direction of the Ambassador.
Among the offices operating under the U.S Mission to Uganda are:
- United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
- Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
- Peace Corps
Job Summary: The Chauffeur (AMB) will be assigned chauffeur duties to the Ambassador and must be safety and security conscious at all times.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- The applicants for the US Embassy Chauffeur (AMB) career opportunity have completed secondary school
- A minimum of two years of chauffeur experience is required. Armored vehicle certification is required for this position.
- Possess a clean and valid local driver’s license appropriate to types of vehicles operated and must possess a valid driver’s permit (Class B, CM & DL).
- The applicant must be familiar with local traffic laws and area traffic patterns.
- Language: Level III (Good working knowledge) English ability is required.
