Baylor-Uganda is a private not for profit child health and development organization providing family-centered pediatric HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services, health professional training, and clinical research in Uganda. Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa and Eastern Europe.
Job Summary: The HRH & Partnerships Officer will support the Regional Human Resource Coordinator in the implementation of the organizational policies and practices and working alongside other partner districts to provide comprehensive guidance on all HR matters for dedicated areas of the business in the Region. The incumbent will support the recruitment, selection, orientation, payroll, employee relations and welfare, Regional HR database, performance management, absorption and exit of District supported staff.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a Degree in industrial/Organizational Psychology or Human Resource management
- A minimum of two years of experience working in an NGO,
- Broad knowledge, understanding and proficiency in the field of Human Resources Management
- Skills in partnerships and advocacy
- Extensive knowledge of the organizational policies, systems, and procedures as well as local government procedures
- Good understanding of national legal requirements relating to HR, including labor law
- Good understanding of a range of Human Resource information systems.
- Knowledgeable about the performance management system.
