IDI has six operational areas through which it works to achieve its mission: Prevention, Care and Treatment; Training, Research, Laboratory services (including the CAP-certified IDI Core Lab & Translational Lab), Global Health Security and Health System Strengthening.
Job Summary: The pharmacy Technician will work closely with the technical and implementing sites to ensure excellent system performance and liaise with the key stakeholders to ensure timely performance of the overall project goals. The technician will support the training of system users for the different Implementing partners and therefore the position holder should exhibit corporate IT skills, and experience in leveraging technology for Healthcare.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the developers and IS team in the requirements gathering to inform upgrading, testing and piloting of the ART ACCESS system versions
- Support the Developers and IS team in the rollout of the updated system versions.
- Participate in conducting trainings for the ARTAccess system
- Support the ARTAccess Training of Trainers (TOTs) by providing system upgrades, resolving their queries and providing catch up trainings.
- Work with the Developers and IS team to address technical challenges faced by users of the ARTAccess system
- Participate in conducting support supervision exercises for the ARTAccess system in the MOH nationwide scale up of CRPDDP program
- Participate in preparation and submission of project progress reports and work plans
- Support stakeholder engagements and management through scheduling the appropriate engagement meetings and feedback sessions
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a Diploma in pharmacy from a recognized institution
- At least two years work experience in a clinical setting
- Must have Registered with Allied Health Professionals’ Council
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of dispensing Antiretroviral Drugs (ARVs)
- At least two years of working in a clinical setting/ facility, preferably in an HIV/AIDS setting.
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
